On second day in Hakone, we went to 2 museums. If you don’t read the previous post DAY1 Hakone , please read the article first 😉

The Hakone Open Air Museum
There are lots of museums in Hakone, and the open-air museum was what we wanted to go! Many amazing sculptures were there. Some modern, some traditional, some colorful and all sculptures exhibit in different ways. And beautiful landscaped park allows for a beautiful nature walk. Of course the Picasso museum on the grounds is worth the visit! Especially we loved beautiful stained glass tower. We took many pictures in the tower. 😉 The museum is very unique and interesting!

Hakone Museum of Art
We went to the museum to see red and orange autumn color! We knew autumn peak was over, but we decided to go to see them! (Hakone autumn foliage around 20 November was peak, but we went to there in 4 December) Yes! It was almost over, but some trees were still beautiful. It was a small museum with beautiful garden. I loved the garden so much.

Last but not least, if you plan 2 or 3 days Hakone trip, you should buy Hakone Free Pass. Hakone is bit pricy are and there are lot of transportation (like train, bus and ropeway etc..) so the Free Pass is cheap and very convenient! Those were all we went to in this Hakone trip. I hope you will enjoy my Hakone pictures.
