Hello again from one of my favorite places in Japan, Saga! Here are my picks from everything that we experienced. 佐賀県の伊万里市は今回小京都会議さんのご協力のもと訪れた場所の一つ。伊万里市では陶芸体験ができたり、美しい景色をたくさん見れ良い思い出がたくさんできました。
Imari ware / Imari yaki（伊万里焼）
Imari city is known for potteries called “Imari-yaki”. A number of porcelain works were transported from Imari Port and greatly contributed to the city’s historical and cultural development. There are many shops and ateliers that sell their own potteries in Okawa Uchiyama. Design and colors are different depends on ateliers. After seeing many ateliers, I tried to make my own potteries. It was first experience and enjoyed it very much! And I saw pottery stone after making potteries. I was surprised that these stones become beautiful potteries. 伊万里市といえば伊万里焼。伊万里市の大川内山には世界の至宝「鍋島」の歴史と伝統、技法を受け継いだ窯元が立ち並んでおります。それぞれのお店によって色や形が全て違うので興味深かったです。色んな作品を見た後は、陶芸体験をさせてもらいました。初めての陶芸体験で、とても楽しめました。そして元となる陶石（岩石）も見せて頂きました。あの岩から美しい陶器ができているのだと思うと驚きでした。
Uranosaki station（浦ノ崎駅）
Uranosaki station that is also called ” sakura staion” (cherry blossom station) Trains are passing sakura tunnel. There are only 1 or 2 trains per hour. At the time the train comes, many people come this station to take pictures during cherry blossoms season. They want to capture the train passing cherry blossoms tunnel. It was magnificent scenery. 浦ノ崎駅は、通称”桜の駅”を呼ばれております。1時間に1〜2本しか電車が来ない駅ですが、桜の時期は電車が来る時間になると、桜のトンネルを電車が通る瞬間を写真に収めようとたくさんの人がカメラを持ってホームに現れます。私たちも東京では見られない美しい光景を見ることができました。
Myojo Sakura Cherry blossom（明星桜）
It is said that this tree was brought from Mibu in Kyoto and is about 900 years old. This sakura is huge and beautiful! 京都の壬生（みぶ）から持ち帰り植えた、樹齢９００年と伝えられる桜の古木。とても大きくて美しい桜でした。
