Osaka is Japan’s second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo. We stayed 2 nights in Osaka last month, so let’s share about it!

〇Osaka castle(大阪城)
It is one of the most famous landmaks in Osaka. This castle is modern inside which has a lot of information on the history of the castle. I learned Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s history a lot here. I recommend to take pictures from Japanese garden area! You can take great pictures of Osaka castle from there.

Dotonbori is Osaka’s most famous tourist destination. This area is filled with towering neon signs, bars, and restaurants etc. It is one of the most colorful areas in Osaka and an absolute must visit location in Kansai region.

Tsutenkaku is also very colorful area. There are a bunch of Kushikatsu restaurants in Tsutenkaku. Kushikatsu means deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables. Kushikatsu is very popular food in Osaka, so you should try it😋 This area is a kind of small and mainly restaurants. We went to Kushikatsu restaurant “Daruma”. Now Daruma is very big chain restaurant in Osaka but the first Daruma restaurant is still in Tsutenkaku. We went to the first Daruma and I was surprised that the restaurant is small and has still traditonal style. I love Kushikatsu♡

◯Hirakata T-site(枚方Tsite)
This place is one of the places I wanted to go since I saw pictures on Instagram. It is an amazing bookstore including cafe, restaurants and grocery store etc. All shops in this building are stylish! This place is right next to the train station and location is very good😁Starbucks cafe is open at 7 am but this book area open at 10am. We went to there at 7 am and main book area was still closed..So be careful lol

◯Kuromon market(黒門市場)
This is used to be a fish wholesale market but it is now a local and tourist market selling fish, ,meat, vegetable and fruit etc. A great place to see and taste local Japanese foods. I think Kuromon market is a good place to have a breakfast or lunch!
